Welcome, Queens and Kings to another blog post in the You-ni Series!!! Today we ill be focusing on creating the right environment at home for better study, productivity and a better life. Creating a living space that inspires you to achieve your goals and makes you feel at peace is essential in curating your best life. It is like you are literally creating the life you want by designing your space into one that makes you happy and pushes you to be productive.
- Firstly, select a designated work area. I personally use a desk and chair in my room, however, during some midday slums, I make use of a sofa in another room. Yours could be a floor area, any space works as long as you go there only to do work. This is essential because your brain will assign that area as a work area and whenever you go there your body and mind will be more acute towards doing work and will lessen distractions.
- Set up a work area that motivates you to work

Using a desk area as an example: have a comfortable chair, decorate it lightly with colours you like so as to make you attracted to it. Ensure the screen of your laptop or desktop is at eye level; make use of thick books or boxes to raise the level. Have a motivating charge somewhere on the desk and ensure it is uncluttered, most of the times. and get rid of any plaything on your desk (no stress ball or fidget spinner).
-After using your planners or creating to-do lists using your beautiful notebooks from Do Good Paper, place them in the eyes' view so that you can keep track, as much as possible with your goals. Planners are a great way to organize activities you need to get done and m writing relieves your brainpower from storing mundane things. You could use them to plan your days along time to be spent on a task or write a to-do list with checkboxes beside the list and check off as you complete them. The very act of jotting the activities can gear your mind to productive mode and so when the time comes to get things done you would be more energized to get started.
-Eliminate any form of distractions in your space. I usually place my phone in another room or even in my closet (lol) as long as it is out of sight it will be out of mind. You can even give your phones or games to your parents to keep for you and return to you at a certain time in the evening. Close unnecessary tabs on your computer. Turn off All notifications on All gadgets. Do whatever necessary to make distractions non-existent.

- Allow in natural light in your study environment. It is provided to boost productivity and cognitive abilities. If natural light is unavailable ensure that good lighting is in your space.
-Take frequent breaks between study sessions. The best breaks are said to be out in nature. Do exercises, read literature, dance, cook, do anything that doesn't consist of screen time and that will be enough.
That's all for today folks!
Thanks for stopping by.
Never stop Curating your best life.
