Greetings Queens and Kings. In this blog post, my friend will be giving us some life encouragement. Do enjoy. -Yambakam Nyangani

Nowadays, many people are sporting facades and unfortunately it has become more difficult to decipher people’s true intentions. I guess it’s some sort of new norm? I’m not going to lie; I have been in countless situations where people have tried to exploit and manipulate me for personal gain JUST because they see that I’m one of the few genuine ones left. Of course, it hurts when the people you love or care for deceive you- and you might be left wondering why they hurt you the way they did; even though you were solid on your end. Sometimes the pain and frustration become unbearable and you vow to stop being kind because it seems pointless to always be the hero in a world lined with villains. But let me tell you something, it is not worth it. Do not allow people’s actions to cause you to morph into a bitter monster. Do not let them steal your light. A friend of mine recently reminded me that if someone did you wrong, it had nothing to do with you; they just tried to project their inner demons onto you. Some of us were called to be the light in this world. Trust me, the world needs light now, more than ever. Sometimes it seems easier to become a cold, empty shell and treat people the way they treat you, but you know that is not who you are. After all, it is indeed true that hurt people hurt people; you wouldn’t want to carry on the tradition, right? If you can relate to everything I mentioned, let me just remind you that you are a light bearer. Stay true to who you are. Forgive (but don’t forget) and guard your heart more. Grow from the pain and try not to make the same mistakes again. And finally, remember that you are strong. It takes more strength to forgive and maintain composure than it is to hold a grudge.
