"For which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?"
- The Bible
The quote of today comes from the Bible-advice for everything. It calls on those who plan to achieve something; in our cases, our goals or systems to first sit; count the cost & plan.
What will your system or goal cost you?
What habits will it make you lose?
How will you proceed to accomplish it?
Fine Tuning
Write down your why. Why do you want to achieve the chosen goal? Use this as a filter. Is your reason viable? If not, take out the goal or relegate it or postpone it.
Break down your goals; what 3- 4 things are required for you to achieve these goals. What is the simplest act required to start the work? How often will you do this?
Accountability systems
Make use of a habit tracker: on a monthly calendar put a tick beside the tracker.
Make use of humans around you; tell your family/friends what habits you want to do & how often. Request them to ask you if you've have done it & to pressure you(lovingly) to do it.
Make use of communities: your social media friends, Facebook groups or mastermind groups. Speaking off I will be starting a mastermind group for goals tracking, inspiration & support. If you are interested, respond via email or below.
Checkpoints
A review is a useful checkpoint. You can review your actions weekly, monthly, quarterly or semi-annually. This depends on the magnitude of the goal or the action steps required.
