"Self love is putting your happiness & well being at the forefront of your life by noticing your negative behaviour patterns before they become habits."

Good day Queens & Kings. Today we'll debunk self-care- identify what it is not and what it is in order to help you pick out the best self-care techniques that will most benefit you. Fixing your self care narrative will better help you curate your best life.

Self care is not just putting on a million face mask, or spa dates or eat outs. Self care that will bring true change is the consistent actions that you do that brings you peace. Self care is the awareness of toxic traits and bad habits and the action of desisting from them. Self care is being patient with yourself but making could happy consistent progress towards your overall vision. Self care is being fully present and leaning into the small joys. It is making time for doing things what make you enjoy. It is being honest with yourself, being aware of your toxic traits and making steps to be eliminate them. It is being aware of your feelings- Ediri Oboro, a guest speaker at my self care workshop explained that we are to ask ourselves, "How are you doing? How are you feeling" I would prompt you to answer honestly, i mean...no one's gonna know. Lol But yeah, do this regularly to get in tune with yourself and deal with the emotions as they come. Eat healthy- simply put drink more water, eat more fruits and vegetables, reduce sugar intake. Move more- do what suites you. In recent weeks I've tried to do more workouts, i use to push myself to do workouts but i just didn't get use to them. So now i do morning stretches and do regular walks and i'm gonna take up more yoga. I might take up workout in the future but for right now i'm good. Knowing what to do, at the right time, that will benefit you the most is a part of self care.Ephesians 5:29 says “For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,” So yes, do nourish your self- mind , soul and body. Once your doing these regularly, you are taking good care of yourself. The other things are fluffs. They are enjoying but if you don't take note, you'll do them and still carry along a bag of baggage. Fixing your self care narrative will better help you curate your best life. Thank You so much for stopping by.
